OUR MISSION

Our mission as members of Fellowship West is to
SHARE JESUS, DISCIPLE BELIEVERS, and LOVE PEOPLE.

We seek to live out this mission both individually and collectively, both at church services/events and during the everyday routines of our lives.

Our desire is that when anyone visits our church, they feel loved and accepted no matter who they are or where they are from.

We hope everyone at West would BELONG and not merely ATTEND! You can engage with others in the mission through Corporate Worship and Prayer, Groups, Service/Missions, and Giving.

Corporate Worship

We gather weekly to praise, sit under biblical teaching, pray, and encourage one another in fellowship toward our mission. Corporate worship is a much needed reminder that we're not alone, and a launching point for everything we do as a church family.

Group Life

The very best expression of our love for Jesus, each other and our friends and neighbors is to live in community with one another. Eating meals, praying for and with one another, and interacting with God’s word on a regular basis leads to transformation in our lives personally and as a church family collectively.

Service

We are God's hands and feet on Earth. He has called us to serve one another as a church, and there are many opportunities to start serving on Sundays and Wednesdays as much as you are available. We also have a responsibility to serve our community through outreach and community events.

Giving

We don’t give because God needs our money. He doesn’t. We give because firstly, God wants our hearts. Understanding that all we have is His and giving a portion to honor Him is a huge step in the life of a believer! Secondly, we give to further evangelism and discipleship and to meet practical needs of others.

OUR BELIEFS

Our beliefs are simple.

We believe as humans, we are broken. We are constantly trying to find something to fix ourselves, to make us happy, to make us complete.

We believe the brokenness is a result of sin, and that Jesus Christ has the power to change our lives forever. The Creator of the universe sent His son to seek and save the lost. We were on a path to death, but in Christ, we are given new life and the promise of Heaven!

We believe because we have seen. We have seen lives change, marriages healed, sickness defeated, families restored, harmful tendencies beaten, and believers empowered by the power of Jesus!

OUR STORY

Fellowship West was formed in 2014 when the remnant of Bonner Springs Baptist Church and the core team of a Lenexa Baptist Church plant merged. The aftermath was exciting growth that has propelled the launch of a second service, the hiring of three full-time pastors, a growing student ministry, an exploding children’s ministry, the launch of the Legends Campus in 2019, and countless opportunities to serve and share the Gospel both locally and internationally.
